Mengenali 'Future continuous tense - for the past' bagi 'non-action verb' dalam bentuk soalan

'Future Continuous tense - for the past' biasanya tidak ujud bagi 'non-action verb'. Oleh itu, bentuk 'soalan' bagi 'Future Continuous tense - for the past' bagi 'non-action verb' pun biasanya tidak ujud juga.

Contohnya, perkataan-perkataan 'non-action verb' berikut tidak boleh ujud dalam bentuk 'continuous' (termasuk 'soalan') :

Contohnya, perkataan 'hope' (harap) adalah 'non-action verb'. Oleh itu ia tidak boleh dijadikan 'continuous'. Perkataan 'hoping' yang dijadikan 'continuous' adalah selalu diucapkan oleh penutur bukan 'native' tetapi ia sebenarnya salah dari segi nahu.



Bagaimanapun, sesetengah 'non-action verb' boleh dijadikan 'future continuous'.

Contohnya :

1. Perkataan 'be' ('am, is, are, was, were') :

Non-continuous :
   You are stupid.
Continuous :
   You will be being stupid.
Question :    Would you be being stupid ?

2. Perkataan 'think' :

Non-continuous :
   I think that coffee was great.
Continuous :
   I will be thinking about my next holiday.
Question :
   Will I be thinking about my next holiday ?

3. Perkataan 'have' :

Non-Continuous :
   I have a car.
Continuous :
   You will be having a picnic.
Question :
   Will you be having a break ?

4. Perkataan 'see' :

Non-continuous :
   I see what you mean.

Continuous :
   I will be seeing my boyfriend for three years.
   I will be seeing Robert on that day.

Question :
   will you be seeing my boyfriend for three years ?
   will you be seeing Robert on that day ?

5. Perkataan 'taste' :

Non-Continuous :
   This soup tasted great.
   The coffee tasted really bitter.

Continuous :
   The chef will be tasting the soup.

Question :
   will the chef be tasting the soup ?
